Nancy Gaskill

Nancy Mason Gaskill, 82, passed away Tuesday morning, January 31, 2012 at Carteret General Hospital.
Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 pm Friday Febuary 3, at Munden Funeral Home. Services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, Febuary 4, at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Michael Frese officiating. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, in Morehead City, NC.
Mrs. Gaskill grew up in Thomasville, NC and after graduating from High School, she worked at the Mills Home Campus of Baptist Children Homes of NC in the financial and administrative offices for approximately for 7 years.
On May 8, 1955 she was married to Robert G. Gaskill and they moved to Morehead City, NC where they have resided for 56 years. After moving to Morehead City, she became a dedicated member of the First United Methodist Church . Mrs. Gaskill used her remarkable gift for composing and writing to publish the first News Letter of the Church and did so for 10 years. For 42 years she enjoyed serving the Church as the first formal Flower Steward, responsible for providing beautiful altar flowers each Sunday of the year.
Nancy and Robert enjoyed traveling, before accepting caregiving responsibilities for numerous family members.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Robert G. Gaskill.
