Muriel J. Styron, 75, of Morehead City, died Thursday December 29, at Carteret General Hospital.
The family will be holding a memorial service 2:00 pm Monday January 2, at Open Door Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jerry Linebarger officiating.
Muriel attended Open Door Baptist Church, she loved shopping and cooking. She loved tending to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by five children: Kelly Toms and husband Jeff of Morehead City, Mitchell Styron and wife Kymberly of Holden Beach, Mark Styron and wife Linda of Fayetteville, Kalani Parker and husband Paul of Raleigh, and Scott Kern of Minnesota: one sister Nancy French of Minnesota: two brothers Billy Kern of Minnesota, and Dewey Kern of Minnesota: many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
