Mrs. Rubie Garner

Mrs. Rubie Garner, 91, of Morehead City, entered into eternal rest on Friday, September 9, 2011. She was born on February 26, 1920 to the late Hardy and Tiney Anderson Gaskins.
Mrs. Garner is survived by her son, Vernon Paul Garner Jr. and wife Rosa of Morehead City; her daughter, Sandra Arthur of New Bern; her grandchildren; Cindy Payne and husband Danny of Morehead City; Verna Arthur of Greenville; Vernon Paul Garner III, of Monroe; and Aleeze Banks of Greenville; great grandchildren, Ken Clayton of Morehead City; Arika Garner of Salisbury; Jessica Edwards, Alexandra Sawyer of Greenville; Daniel Payne of Morehead City.
Services will be Sunday, September 11, at 3:30 PM at The First Freewill Baptist Church in Morehead City located at 912 Bridges Street. The family will receive friends before the service from 2:30 - 3:30 PM. Burial will follow in Bayview Cemetery.
