Mrs. Linda L. Meadows

Mrs. Linda L. Meadows, 72, of New Bern, passed away Friday, October 23, 2020, at her home.

Linda was born in Monterey, California. She retired from the Craven County School System where she faithfully worked as a bookkeeper and also worked in the Media Center at HJ MacDonald Middle School for many years and enjoyed working with the students. Linda was very proud of her time served at HJ MacDonald Middle School. She volunteered with the Girl Scouts and was Troop Leader and worked her way up in rank.

She is survived by her daughters, JoAnna Wishon of New Bern, Jessica Estrada of El Paso, TX, Brook Meadows Salmons of New Bern, and Bea Ryan and husband Bill of Grants Pass, OR; son, James Adams of Tracy, CA; sisters, Yvonne Cole of Gray, ME, Joanie Jones and husband Jimmy of Mississippi, Samantha Mechell of Mississippi, Sandy McFalls of Fresno, CA, and Pam Pierce of Mississippi; brother, Lloyd Scheidler of Mississippi; grandchildren, Eddie Figueroa, Justin Salmons, Brandon Salmons, Jaimee Wishon, and Kaylee Estrada; and great-grandchildren, Harper Salmons and Mason Salmons.

In addition to her mother, Nancy Smith, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood "Lee" Meadows, sister, Cathy Parr.
