Morris W Mace, 82, of Beaufort, passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at his home.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at Russell's Creek Free Will Baptist Church in Beaufort with the Rev. Jimmy Elmore and Rev. Jim Hight officiating. Interment will follow at Carteret Memorial Gardens in Beaufort
Morris is survived by his wife, Alice Faye Noe Mace of the home; daughter, Linda Hight and husband Jim Hight of Lee Summit, MO; sons, Kenny Mace and wife Leisha of Washington, Gary Mace and wife Terri of Beaufort, and Rusty Mace and wife Valerie of Newport; step daughter, Wildea Rollins of New Iveria, LA; step son, Richard Mason of Sulphur, LA; sisters, Faye Wilson of Asheville, Edna Phillips of Marion, and Amyree Lewis of Beaufort; brother, Jack Mace of Burnesville; grandchildren, James Hight and wife Stephanie of Milford, NE, Sarah Lefebvre and husband Ryan of Lee Summit, MO, Jason Mace of Noldesville, IN, Joshua Mace and wife Erin of Morehead City, Bryan Mace of Newport, Joseph Mace of Beaufort, Kelly Harper and husband Kendall of Newport, Lauren Johnston of Salter Path, Michael Mace of Rocky Mount, Janie Hight of Beaufort, Dolly Mason of Beaufort, Marissa Mace of Jacksonville, Christian Acevedo of Newport, Corinne Acevedo of Augusta, GA, Rebekah Mace of Beaufort, and Chase Mace of Newport; 19 great grandchildren with one on the way; special life long friends, Luke and Judy Chandler.
Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Russell's Creek Free Will Baptist Church.
Morris is preceded in death by his parents; Clay Russell Mace and Callie Weycaster Mace; first wife, Dorothy Mace; son, David Allen; siblings, Ray Mace, Velma Wilson, Grace Reels and Jessie Gardner.
