Monzelle "Sparky" Norris

Monzelle “Sparky” Norris, 73, of New Bern, passed away Friday, May 25­, 2018 at his home.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at Gethsemane Memorial Park, officiated by Chaplain Rick Brooks.

He is survived by daughter, Mildred Diane Garvin and husband, Jeff, of Chicago, IL; son, John Norris and husband, Steve Key, of Raleigh; grandchildren, Aaron Meister and Monty Meister.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lynda Smith Norris; parents, John Corbitt Norris and Thelma Armstrong Norris; sisters, Betty Lou Nethercutt, Marie Wallace, Iris McGee; and brothers, John “Jimmy” Norris, George Norris, Sr. and Bobby Hardee.
