Monica Antoinette Rodriguez Harrell, 56, of Beaufort, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2016 in Charlotte.
Her funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Munden Funeral Home Chapel in Morehead City with Chaplain Paul Yeun officiating. Interment will follow at Carteret Memorial Gardens.
Monica loved baking, gardening, writing poetry, and she especially loved to spend time with her beloved grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Ken Harrell of the home; daughter, Ashley Harrell of Beaufort; two sons, Alejandro Armendariz and wife Johanna of Charlotte, and Nicholas Armendariz and wife Amanda of Fredericksburg, VA; mother, Elva Contreras of Los Angeles, CA; brother, Mickey Rodriguez and wife Doris of Sierra Madre, CA; three sisters, Susan Revilla and husband Anthony of La Habra, CA, Cathy Bustos of Orange, CA, and Patty Herrera and husband Alex of Palm Springs, CA; also seven grandchildren, Cordelia, Jaime, Manny, Carter, Kensi Jo, Emma, and Raleigh.
She was preceded in death by her father, Miguel Rodriguez; and a brother, Marco Rodriguez.
The family will receive friends 7:00-9:00 pm Friday at Munden Funeral Home.
