Mitchell Ray Russell, 45, of Broad Creek passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Carteret General.
The family will hold a memorial service from 2:00 to 5:00 PM, Sunday, February 19 at 220 Salty Shores Road, Broad Creek. Friends and family are encouraged to stop by and share their memories.
Mitchell had a larger than life presence and a generous spirit. He was always willing to help anyone who needed it whether friend or total stranger. His passing is a great loss to many people and he will be missed but always remembered by all the people who's life he touched.
Mitchell is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Lynn Russell; mother, Wilhelmina Russell; daughter Madison Elizabeth Russell; son, Hunter Russell; sisters, April McGilvery and husband Jeff; sister in law, Elizabeth Sperry; niece, Ashely Ehrler; nephews, Jacoby Ehrler and Riley McGilvery.
Mitchell was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Earl Russell.
