Miho Minoda, 65, of Newport, North Carolina, passed away, Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at Carteret Health Care.
A memorial service to honor Miho’s life will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, November 11th at All Saints Anglican Church, officiated by Rev. David Linka.
Miho was born on January 30, 1959, in Uto City, Kumamoto, Japan. She was the beloved daughter of the late Fumio and Harue Minoda.
Miho and her husband Marvin were the proud owners and operators of Minoda's Japanese Steak House, Sushi Bar & Izaya in Morehead City. Their passion for providing exquisite Japanese cuisine brought joy to many customers and loyal supporters. Miho found great happiness in cooking and baking, often expressing her love through the wonderful meals she prepared for family and friends.
Beyond her culinary talents, Miho enjoyed shopping, with every special purchase bringing her joy. She was also an avid reader who cherished the hours spent immersed in captivating stories.
Her faith played a significant role in her life, guiding her actions and the way she lived. Miho was deeply family-oriented, treasuring the time spent with her loved ones and making countless memories together.
Those remaining to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Marvin Minoda; sons, Jason Minoda, Joshua Minoda and wife HunChustine F. Minoda, and Jordan Minoda, all of Washington State; sister, Setsuko Minoda of Japan; and 3 grandchildren.
