Michael "Mike" David Simpson

Michael David "Mike" Simpson, 70, of Beaufort, died Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Vidant Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Saturday at First Free Will Baptist Church of Morehead City with Rev. Mance Cason officiating.
Mike retired from parts manager at Kurtis Chevrolet after 26 years of employment.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Temple Simpson of the home; two daughters, Ellen Simpson Flarity of Beaufort, and Lisa Simpson Mayo of Beaufort; three sisters, Letitia Tickle and husband Bill of Beaufort, Barbara Sue Janis and husband Richard of Beaufort, and Catherine Greene and husband John of Beaufort; and four grandsons, Brody Alexander Flarity, Braden Michael Flarity, Nathaniel Cade Mayo, and Wesley David Mayo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe and Thelma Simpson, sister, Julia Pilcher, and two brothers, Lester Haywood Simpson, and Johnnie Gordon Simpson,
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 Friday at Munden Funeral Home.
