Mike was born on July 30 1920, in Providence Rhode Island. A Jack of all trades but an especially good Mechanic, Mike joined the US Army in Sept, 1940. He had several duty stations prior to being shipped in Feb 1944 to the Pacific and serving until the end of WW II, Nov 11, 1945. In Jan 1943 he was sent for a 6 week duty station in Morehead City, NC that changed his single life forever...he met his soul mate, Irene Jones. They married and started their long journey together. In 1982, after almost 40 years up North (RI), he and Irene retired to her home in North Carolina, were they have lived happily together for 33 years.
Mike was truly ONE of a Kind! He had only TWO speeds Fast and Faster. He loved to work and he never had an idle moment. He loved his family and was always ready to help...whether you wanted it or not. He was always there.
