Michael Tripp Lee, 44, of Morehead City, died Friday September 7, 2012, at Carteret General Hospital.
A memorial service will be held by the family 6:30pm Tuesday at St. Andrews Episcopal Church with the Reverend John Pollock officiating.
He grew up in New Bern and graduated from New Bern High School. Michael was a master carpenter and formerly employed by GATE-ONE of Annapolis, Maryland.
He leaves behind a son Chasen Michael Lee of New Bern: father and step-mother Robert E. Lee and wife Jane of Morehead City: brother Robert E. Lee III of Morehead City: step-brother Patrick Moye and wife Kerri of High Point: beloved friend Amanda and her daughter Leslie Stuber of Vanceboro: nephews Robert E. Lee IV, Adam and Nathan Moye: neices Brittany Vella, Erica Vella, and Alaina Moye: uncles Donnie Lee and wife Karen of Greenville, Stacy Lee and wife Stacy of Hillsborough: cousins Meagan Daly and Mallory Lee of Greenville, Jennifer Haines Smith, Jason and Jeremy Haines of New Bern.
Michael was preceded in death by his mother Janice Tripp Lee of New Bern.
A reception will be held following the service in Parish Hall.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Carteret County Hospital Foundation (for the new cancer center) PO Drawer 1619 Morehead City, NC 28557.
