Michael was born on April 3, 1964, in Columbus, Georgia, to David Johnson, and his late mother, Elaine Johnson. Michael was a devoted family man who loved spending quality time with his family and precious grandchildren.
He honorably served as a United States Marine for 20 years retiring soon after. His dedication to his country was unmatched.
Michael had a deep passion for collecting antique radios, Coca-Cola bottles, and coffee cups. He was something of a connoisseur of coffee. He took great pleasure in sharing the stories behind each piece with anyone who showed an interest. Another of Michael’s great joys was his love for Florida State University. His unwavering support for the team was a source of camaraderie and friendly rivalries among friends and family.
Michael cherished spending time with his loved ones, whether it was cooking on the grill, or simply enjoying each other’s company. He was always willing to give a helping hand to anyone in need. His family was the center of his world, and he left behind a legacy of love and unity.
Those left to treasure his memory are his loving wife, Rachel Lamb of the home; father, David Johnson of Orlando, Florida; daughters, Katie Scordellis (Clint) of Havelock, Molly Janse of Havelock; sons, David Lamb (Kristina) of Tallahassee, Florida, Masen Janse of Havelock; step-sister, Stephanie Harden of Louisana; brother, Robert Lamb of Las Vegas, Nevada; step-brothers, Kevin Johnson of Florida, Rusty Johnson of St. Louis, Missouri; former wife, Charlene Lamb; and six grandchildren.
