Michael Joseph Jones, 59, of Peletier, died Friday January 27, at his home.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Monday at Peletier Missionary Baptist Church, with the Dr. Michael Blevins officiating. Interment to follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Newport.
Michael was a member of Newport Baptist Church. He was a retired civil service employee of Cherry Point after 30 years of service. He served his country in the US Army.
He is survived by one daughter Patricia J. Little and husband Clifton of Bridgeton, and his father Rev. Ira J. Jones of Peletier: two grandaughters Destiny and Jasmine Little: one uncle Eugene Jones of Peletier.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
