Michael Gage Fleming

Michael Gage Fleming, 82, of Newport, North Carolina went to be with The Lord on Saturday, September 23rd, 2017. He had been comforted in his last hours at Crystal Coast Hospice House. “God has you in His arms, we have you in our hearts."

Funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, September 28th at St. Peter’s United Methodist Church with Rev. Karl A. Zorowski presiding. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.

Michael was an active member of St. Peter’s United Methodist Church for twenty years; he sang in the choir, attended Bible study, served as Minister of Food and was a member of the Methodist Men’s Group. He also served at the local soup kitchen and the sponsoring Emmaus walk participants. Michael was also a member of Promise Keepers for many years and made the trip to Washington, D.C. with a multitude years ago.  He was also visiting St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Havelock, North Carolina shortly before his passing.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Fleming of the home; daughter, Laurel Czajkowski and husband Jay of Massena, New York; sons, Shaun Fleming and wife Elizabeth of Hamilton, Ohio and Marshall Fleming of Charlotte, North Carolina; step-son, Garland O’Neal of Newport, North Carolina; brother, Timothy Fleming; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents, Gage “Bud” Fleming and Thora “Tudy” Fleming; also brothers, Patrick and Gary Fleming.

The Family will be receiving friends and family from 6:00pm-8:00pm on Wednesday, September 27th at Munden Funeral Home Morehead City, North Carolina.
