Melva Louise Gillikin

Melva Louise Gillikin 76, of Otway, died Tuesday November 1, 2011 at Carteret General Hospital.
Mrs. Gillikin was a member of Otway Free Will Baptist Church for over 30 years and was active with the choir.
A funeral service will be held 11:00am Friday November 4, at Otway Free Will Baptist Church, with the Rev. Robert Fraley officiating. Interment will follow at Gillikin Family Cemetery.
She is survived by five daughters, Teresa Gillikin, Vicki Guthrie, and Debra Wade all of Otway, Sherry Scott of Gloucester, and Lisa Block of Trenton, NC.: two sons Michael Gillikin of Newport, and Wayne Gillikin of Otway: two sisters Sydney Potter of Beaufort, and Allie Gillikin of Otway:brother Don Lewis of Newport: fifteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Franklin Gillikin and her parents Martin and Sabra Lewis.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00pm Thursday at Otway FWB.
