Melissa Lee Gillikin, 45, of Harkers Island, NC died Monday, September 5, 2011 at her residence.
Services will be held at a later date.
She is survived by her father, Leland Gillikin of Otway; sisters, Wendy Burke, also of Otway and Susan Anschultz of Bradford, AR; her companion, Thomas Bowen of Beaufort, NC; nieces, Chrissy Kellum and Cathy Griffin; nephew, Zachary Anschultz; great-nieces, Kyndall Griffin and Ravyn Kellum; and great-nephew, Cayden Kellum. She left behind her beloved dog, Gia.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sylvia Rose Gillikin.
