Melanie Pollock

Melanie Pollock, 54, of Newport, passed away Monday, November 22, 2021, at her home.

Her memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, December 14th, at Wildwood Presbyterian Church in Newport, officiated by Rev. Patrick Whaley. The family will receive friends following the service.

Melanie was born in Waycross, Georgia, on December 19, 1966. She was known for her love of period piece movies. Learning about different eras and timeless traditions were truly her favorite types of shows. Family meant everything to Melanie, nothing was more valuable than quality time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Pollock of the home; daughters, Shannon Pollock (Trey Bennett) of Newport and April Sasser of Newport; father, Hilliard Thornton (Julie) of Three Forks, MT; sisters, Magen Lindstrom of Belgrade, MT and Natasha Howell of Manor, GA; brother, Hilliard Thornton Jr. of St. Petersburg, FL; grandchildren, Jackson Bennett and Isabelle Bennett; and Chippy the Yorki.

Melanie was preceded in death by her mother, Harriett Belle Shaw.
