McColla Kilpatrick, 87, of Newport, died Saturday, October 3, 2009, at her residence.
Mrs. Kilpatrick was born in Newport, the daughter of the late Fonnie and Bessie Elliott.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Clyde Eborn and the Rev. Ken Bartholomew officiating. Interment will follow at Little Deep Creek Cemetery.
She is survived by three sons, Thomas and wife Roberta Vasgar and Arthur Vasgar all of Newport, and David Vasgar and wife Jackie of Roy, Utah; sister, Pauline Brazda and husband Frank of Newport; son-in-law, Floyd McCumbie of New Bern; seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John "Jack " Kilpatrick, daughter, Reva McCombie, and two sons, Frederick Vasgar, Jr. and Joe Vasgar, brother, Thomas E. Elliott, and three sisters, Flora Bell Hill, Mary Lautenschlager, and Louise Dodd.
The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Tuesday at Munden Funeral Home.
