Maxine Robinson Harvey, 86, of Atlantic, passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Taylor Extended Care Facility in Sea Level.
Services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday at Sea Level Free Union Original Free Will Baptist Church where she was a faithful member. The Rev. Danny Anderson and nephew Robert Alan Robinson will officiate. Interment will follow at Nelson Bay Cemetery.
Mrs. Harvey was born on February 3, 1924, in Atlantic to the late Gladys Lucille Nelson and William Biddle Robinson, Sr.
She is survived by her two sons, Daniel Huston Harvey and wife Billee of Atlantic and Juno Isles, FL, and Neal Lawrence Harvey and wife Sue of Davis, NC; two sisters, Angie Marie Hopper of Reidsville, NC, and Genevieve Margaret (Margie) Pogera Mann of Atlantic, NC; son-in-law, Robert William LeMay of Newport; daughter-in-law, Audrey Jane Harris Harvey of Cedar Island, eight grandchildren, Frank Osborne Harvey and wife Kim, Vanessa Dawn Harvey Daughtry of Atlantic, Dwayne Aubrey Harvey and wife Amanda of Kinston, Mary Elizabeth Harvey of Newport, Daniel Huston Harvey, Jr. and wife Lisa of West Palm Beach, Fl, Dennis Neal Harvey and wife Megan of Davis, Sean Christian Harvey and fiancée Tina Salter of Williston, and Sidney Maxine LeMay of Newport; and seven great-grandchildren, Amanda Gabriel Harvey, Sheldon Preston Daughtry, Hailey Elizabeth Harvey, Heath Elliott Harvey, Elleigh Faith Harvey, Robert Aron Edinger, Miles Aubrey Harvey, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Aubrey Harvey, Sr.; son, Frank Aubrey Harvey, Jr.; daughter Lisa Harvey LeMay; granddaughter, FaLisa LeAnnice LeMay Wainscott; daughter-in-law, Harriet “Annette” Robinson Harvey; two sisters, Christine Robinson Golden, Mary Gladys Robinson Zych; three brothers, William Biddle Robinson, Jr., Roy Lawrence Robinson, and David Horace Robinson; two nephews, James Hamilton Hopper, Jr., and Kenneth Hale Robinson.
The family would like to thank the staff of Taylor Extended Care Facility for their care and support during their mother’s illness.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm Sunday at the church and other times at their homes.
