Mavis Lorraine (Guthrie) Dixon

Mavis Lorraine Guthrie Dixon, 75, of Harkers Island, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Carteret General Hospital surrounded by her family.
A funeral will be held 11:00 am Saturday at Harkers Island Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Louis Bass and Anthony Nelson officiating. Interment will follow at Vergie Mae Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband Wilford Dixon of the home: two sons Mitchell Dixon and wife Debbie of Harkers Island, and Jimmy Dixon and wife Sheila of Harkers Island: five grandchildren Mickey Dixon of Harkers Island, Rebekah Dixon of Harkers Island, James Dixon of Harkers Island, Brandon Dixon and wife Mandy of Otway, and Brittany Dixon of Greenville: two brothers Terry Guthrie and wife Judy of Harkers Island, and Larry Guthrie and wife Suzette of Harkers Island: and three great grandchildren Chase Dixon, Chandler Dixon, and Zachery Fulcher.
She was preceded in death by her parents Willie "Bonnie" and Velma Guthrie.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm Friday at Harkers Island Pentecostal Holiness Church.
