Maurice "Moe" Renaud, Sr.

Maurice "Moe" Renaud, Sr., 83, of Morehead City, died Sunday, August 28, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem.
Mr. Renaud was a member of Glad Tidings Church, was employed with General Electric Company in Fitchburg, Massachusetts until moving to Carteret County where he was employed with civil service at Cherry Point until retirement. He served in the United States Army during World War II.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Thursday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Marriner officiating. Interment will follow at Carteret Memorial Gardens.
He is survived by his wife, Lillian McCoy Renaud of the home; son, Maurice Renaud, Jr. and wife Patsy of Beaufort; daughter, Margaret Rose Sheppard and husband David of Beaufort; step-daughter, JoAnn Marsh and husband Carl of Morehead City; five grandchildren, Rose, Tracy, Suzy, Theresa, and Tony, and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Theresa Renaud, and brother, Gille Andrew Renaud.
The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Wednesday at Munden Funeral Home.
