Mattie Willis Salter, 76, of Salter Path, died Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at Carolina East Medical Center
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clyde Cheezum officiating. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.
Mattie was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. She was raised in Salter Path and will be missed dearly by the community.
She is survived by her husband Sam Salter of Salter Path; three sons Dean Salter of Salter Path, Danny Salter and wife Lacy of Beaufort, and Charlie Ryder of Salter Path; a daughter Angela Salter of Salter Path; grandchildren Josh Salter and fiance Hayley Grant, Jack Salter, and Sadie Salter; one great grandchild Finley Salter; a sister Daphne Ann Bennett of New York; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Dick and Annie Willis.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
