Matthew "Matt" Brown

Matthew “Matt” Brown, 30, of Havelock, NC, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 in Villa Rica, GA.
His Celebration of Life service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Munden Funeral Home & Cremations in Havelock, NC.
Matt was born and raised in Havelock, NC. He joined the United States Army shortly after graduating from Havelock High in 2006. After serving honorably Matt began working for the government as an aircraft worker in July 2014. He soon became an aircraft mechanic until he accepted an aircraft Data Specialist position in Logs and Records Branch in August 2016. Matt was very dependable and dedicated to his work. He had a quick and easy laugh and was well respected by his peers. Matt enjoyed fishing, hunting but most of all was a talented mechanic that loved to tinker. He had a passion for cars and motorcycles and loved his Mustang and Harley. Everyone that knew matt loved him. A devoted husband and father that will truly be missed.
He is survived by his wife, Ashley Brown of the home; daughters, Lillyan and Lola Brown of the home; mother, Rhonda Ipock and husband Rusty of Newport; father, Bobby Brown and wife Kellie of Millersburg, IL; sisters, Kristy Brown of Centralia, IL, and Josie Brown of Newport, NC; maternal grandmother, Rose Davis of Keokuk, IA; paternal grandfather, Bob Brown, Alhambra, IL; paternal grandmother, Pat Jennings and husband Dave of Havelock; many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins; and Josh Stevenson of Havelock who was more like a brother than a best friend.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather David Lee Davis; and aunt Leanna Mae Davis.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Munden Funeral Home & Cremations in Havelock, NC.
