Matthew L. Morris

Matthew L. Morris, 36, of Maysville, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025.

Matt was born on August 23, 1988, in Athens, Alabama. He was a big-hearted man, known for his kindness and loyalty as a friend. He lived with honor and had a spirit of generosity and helpfulness. Matt’s sense of humor was remarkable, and he always had the ability to uplift those around him. 

Matt's presence in the lives of his friends and loved ones will be profoundly missed.

He is survived by his companion, Kristine Parsons; three daughters, Raelyn, Brooklyn, and Amber; one son, Adam; his mother, Beverly Morrison; siblings, Grace Morris, Lavonia Morris, Josh McCurry and wife Christa, and Alex McCurry and wife Reagan; grandfather, Jimmy Clay; six cherished nieces and nephews; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Matt also had a wonderful group of supportive friends with an honorable mention to Cuz and RD. 

Matt was preceded in death by his father Roger Morris.
