Master Sergeant, Warren H. Cracknell, USMC Retired, 84, of Havelock, North Carolina, passed away Friday, January 10, 2025, at his home.
Warren was born on September 26, 1940, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to the late Henry and Marjorie Cracknell. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for over 26 years, and 21 years with the Department of Defense. He had a love for race cars and was a loyal NASCAR fan. Warren spent countless weekends attending NASCAR events, sharing his love of the sport with friends and family. His favorite NASCAR driver was Jeff Gordon, he loved rooting for him until his retirement.
He especially loved his family, sharing many years of love with his wife Joan and raising his precious children. Warren loved being a grandfather and great-grandfather, he cherished the times they spent together. May his memory be a treasure to all who knew and loved him.
Those remaining to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Joan Cracknell; daughter, Wendy Cracknell of Ambler, PA; sons, Warren Cracknell Jr. (Patricia) of Nashville, TN, and Wayne Cracknell (Lynne) of Indianapolis, IN; 7 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Warren was preceded in death by his brothers, Bob and Alan Cracknell.
