MaryAnne Jackson

MaryAnne Jackson, 75, of Newport, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2024, at Carteret Health Care.

MaryAnne was born on July 27, 1949, in Morehead City to the late Milan and Elizabeth Willis. She proudly served her country as a member of the United States Navy. During her service, she formed lifelong friendships and made a lasting impact. 

MaryAnne was a passionate lover of books and an avid reader who found joy in the written word. Her curiosity and open mind led her to explore the rich tapestry of the world’s religions. MaryAnne was also a devoted animal lover, with a special fondness for cats. May her memory live on in the hearts of those she touched.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her daughter, Jennifer Anne Jackson Messer (Micky) of Vanceboro; and close friend, Ozel Radford.

In addition to her parents, MaryAnne was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Everett Jackson.
