Mary Rose Morrison

Mary Rose Morrison, 94, of Wilmington, formerly of Smyrna, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2018 at her home in Wilmington.

Her Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 12, 2018 at the Coastal Carolina Veterans Cemetery at 110 Montford Point Rd., Jacksonville, NC 28540.

Mary Rose Morrison was the last of her kind. She was an angel here on earth, now an angel in heaven with Jesus Christ our Savior! She is loved and will be greatly missed.

She is survived her daughter, Tammy Riggs Wagnon and husband, James Anderson Wagnon, of Wilmington, Linda Joy Morrison Hart of Gloucester; son, Daniel Edward Morrison and wife, Heather, of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Jason Scott Riggs, Dalton Davis Riggs, Daniel Tromer Morrison, II, Jackie Morrison Rapp, Patricia Ann Morrison Larette, James Joseph Callans, Kevin Thomas Callans, Joshua Gibson; and great-grandchildren, Savannah Nicole Riggs, Elainne Callans, Ashley Callans, Amber Callans, Joey Sumblin, Glenwood Sumblin, Jr., Collean Callans, Jamie Morrison, Tanner Morrison, great-great-grandchildren, Eli Lewis, Marianna Whitt, Telemachus Rhade McQueen and Grayson Gibson, Addison Adrianna Parsons, Tyler Sumblin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mary Puchalski; granddaughter, Heather Rose Gibson; great-granddaughter, Athena Lumen McQueen; and great-grandson, Tyler Sumblin.

Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday, February 12, 2018 at the home of Tammy Riggs at 4189 Spirea Drive, Unit 2, Wilmington, NC 28403.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the family at 4189 Spirea Drive, Unit 2, Wilmington, NC 28403. They will disperse donations between the charities of Mary’s choice.
