Mary Elza (Willis) Gillikin
April 14, 1946 — January 6, 2017
Mary Elza Gillikin, 70, of Otway, passed away Friday, January 6, 2017 at her home.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Armecia Lewis Cemetery in Harkers Island with Rev. David Vester and Rev. Rusty Willis officiating.
She is survived by her husband, Berkley Gillikin of the home; son, BJ Gillikin and wife Windy of Otway; stepson, Johnny Ray Gillikin of Jacksonville; stepdaughter, Etta G. Willis and husband Rusty of New Bern; two special children that she raised, Franklin Monroe Pittman and Lauren Nicole Smith both of Beaufort; brother, Bobby Willis of Smyrna; and grandchildren, Laura Ashley Foley, Sarah Elizabeth Willis, and Amy Danielle Gillikin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Sadie Davis Willis, sister, Maxine Lawrence, and brothers, Kike Willis and Jackie Willis.
The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm Monday, January 9, 2017 at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City.
