Mary Ann Donahue, 86, of Cape Carteret, passed away Friday, July 28, 2017 at her home.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the Munden Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Reverend Patrick Whaley. Burial will follow at Bayview Cemetery.
Mary Ann was born in Morehead City and grew up on 7th Street and Bay Street until her marriage to John in 1956.
She is survived by her daughters, Joanna Bunting and husband Alford of Forked River, NJ; Sallie Haymore of Swansboro, Erin Walsh and husband Ed of Cedar Point; son, Michael Donahue of Raleigh; sister, Jeanette Morris of Wake Forest; grandchildren, Louie Bunting of Philadelphia, PA, Erin Bunting of Forked River, NJ, Sarah Donahue of Augusta, GA, Andrew Haymore of Swansboro, E.J. Walsh of Cedar Point, Molly Walsh of Cedar Point; 2 great-grandsons.
Mary was preceded in death by her father, Zennie Merrill; mother, Sarah Oglesby; husband, John Patrick Donahue; 3 sisters; 5 brothers.
Family will see friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Munden Funeral Home.
