Mary Champion (Williams) Currin
October 7, 1935 — March 6, 2015
Mary Champion Currin, 79, of Morehead City, passed away peacefully Friday, March 6, 2015 at Carteret General Hospital surrounded by family.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Manley B. Rose, Jr. officiating.
Mary was an Amateur Golf Champion, and a member of the Lions Club.
She is survived by a daughter Kathryn Farnsworth Gladwell and husband Rick of Flat Rock, NC; a step daughter Amy Currin Kunau and husband Jim of Corpus Cristi, TX; son Hugh Champion Farnsworth and wife Debra of Macon, GA; step son Peter Currin, Jr. and wife Jennifer of Sarasota,FL; grandchildren Taylor Ann Farnsworth, Hugh Michael Farnsworth, Jamie Gladwell, Jason Gladwell, Ryan Gladwell, Clay Gladwell, and Tucker Muse; great grandchildren Asher Blasingame, Hudson Blasingame, Tristin Blasingame, Willow Blasingame, Olivia Gladwell, and Ryker Gladwell; and her dog Pepper.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 24 years Russell Currin, her parents John and Dorothy Williams, sisters Dorothy Williams Clark and Jane Williams Evans, and grandson David Brian O'Dell.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
