Martin "Marty" Bryon Bourdeau

Martin "Marty" Bryon Bourdeau, 57, of Pine Knoll Shores and formerly of Plattsburg, NY died Friday, April 18, 2014 at Carteret General Hospital.

A memorial service will be held 10:00 am Wednesday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Frese officiating. Interment will be held at Coastal Carolina Cemetery with military honors. A memorial service will be held at a later date Plattsburgh, NY.

Marty graduated Peru High School in 1974, and he graduated Park University with a BS in Criminal Justice. He served 21 years in the USMC, and retired as a Captain. For the past 18 years he was employed with the Carteret County Sheriff's Department.

He is survived by his wife Charlotte A. Policy Bourdeau of Pine Knoll Shores; three sisters Donna Harvey and husband Thomas R. of Plattsburgh, NY, Jane Irwin and husband Thomas of Peru, NY, and Carol Crary and husband Howard of West Palm Beach, FL; three best friends Sally Ann, Archie, and Lucy Lou; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Gloria Bourdeau, and one brother  USMC (ret.) Mark G. Bourdeau.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
