Martha Caroline Salter, 83, of Harkers Island, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2016, at Carteret Health Care.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm at the Harkers Island United Methodist Church on Tuesday, October 11, 2016, with Pastor Brad Williams and Reverend Mike Nelson officiating. Interment will follow the service at Vergie Mae cemetery.
She is survived by her two daughters, Jenne Howard of Morehead City, NC, and Valerie Oden and husband Lin of Harkers Island, NC; son, Curtis Grant Salter and wife Jeannette of Arapahoe, NC; a special son, Tim Lewis and wife Helen of Morehead City, NC; grandchildren, Jason Salter and wife Cara, Deanne Rosen and husband Jason, Caroline Garrison and husband Paul, Robert Howard, Karlyn Salter, Curtis Evans, Herb Oden and wife Natasha, Lisa Oden, and Philip Robinson and wife Amanda; great-grandchildren, Savannah Lee, Demi, Sarah, Savannah Reese, Luke, Molly, Meriella, Trey, Presley, and Addie Beth; and nephew, Roland and wife Jennifer of Gloucester, NC.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Curt Salter; parents, Roland and Rosa Lee Willis; brother, Dwight Willis; sisters, Vonnie Lewis and Peggy Willis; and son-in-law, Bobby Howard.
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 10, 2016, at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City, from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
