Martha Pake Lewis Arthur, 78, of Bettie, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at her home surrounded by family.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Friday at Woodville Baptist Church with Rev. Terry McInnis and Rev. Michael Blevins officiating. Interment will follow at Arthur Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband of 26 years Douglas Arthur of the home: three daughters Kathryn L. Dickinson and husband John W. of Core Creek, Elizabeth L. "Libby" Smith and husband Jeff "Squash" of Morehead City, and Nancy L. Noe and husband Jay of Bettie: seven grandchildren Tonya Dickinson, John Michael Dickinson and wife Summer of Beaufort, Jennifer Harvell of Atlantic Beach, Ashley Noe of Bettie, Dustin Noe of Beaufort, Lynsey Noe of Bettie, and Brook Noe of Bettie: one sister Beatrice Hill of Cincinnati, OH: four brothers Justin Pake of Bettie, Marvin Pake of Beaufort, Tommy Pake of Beaufort, and Eric Pake Sr., of South River: step daughter in-law Darla Arthur of Merrimon: step grandchildren Shannon Sutton of Jacksonville, Brandon Saunders of Morehead City, Adam Arthur and Joshua Arthur of Beaufort: three step great grandchildren Ryan Sutton, Katie Sutton, and Justin Saunders: and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Mattie Pake, first husband Delmas Lewis, sisters Pauline Ross, Kathryn Pake, and Dorothy Davis, brothers Clyde Pake, Curtis Pake, Edgar Pake, and Billy Pake, and two step children Sharon Arthur Bougie, and Gary Arthur.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm Thursday at Woodville Baptist Church.
