Marshall C. Sutherland, Jr., 78, of Morehead City, died Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at Carolina East Medical Center.
Services will be held at a later date.
Mr. Sutherland retired from Sprint as a Regional Vice President for Sprint Government Services. He was an artist and enjoyed cooking. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict as a dental technician.
He is survived by his daughters, Winnie Sutherland of Sebastian, FL, and Carolyn Hoveland of New Bern; son, Marc Sutherland of Carrboro, NC; sisters, Sarah Pearson of Durham, NC, and Nan Mooney of Singer Island, FL: and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Sutherland.
