Marion Reindel Jordan, 101, of Morehead City, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Brookdale Morehead City (formerly Carolina House) with her family by her side. Her last words were: “At my age, I am ready for the beautiful wonderful.”
Services will be private.
Marion was a very talented silversmith. She sold her jewelry in galleries from Cleveland, Ohio to Portland, Maine down to Hendersonville, North Carolina. She always had a workshop in her home and spent many hours following her passion.
A Celebration of Life was held on Marion’s 100th birthday at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mike and Margie Hansen of Beaufort. Marion’s daughter, Sally Radolovic, came from Cleveland, OH. Many grandchildren and great-grandchildren were there to show their love. Her nephews, John Owen, Tom Owen, and Jamie Owen came, with their wives, from all across the country to celebrate with her.
Marion was preceded in death by her parents, Lina and Fred Reindel, her husband, Henry Jordan, her great-grandson, Emery Humphrey; and her dear friend, Frank Armstrong.
Marion was truly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Marion’s family would like to thank the staff at Brookdale Morehead City for the wonderful care and love they showed her while she lived there.
Memorial donations can be made to the Christmas Employee Fund at Brookdale Morehead City, 107 Bryan St., Morehead City, NC 28557.
