Mario Edward Ferris, 75, of Morehead City, died Friday, October 31, 2014 at Carteret General Hospital.
A private family service to be held.
Mario was a loving and generous husband and father. He was a member of Bogue Banks Baptist Church, and he served his country in the USMC from 1958-1964. He also worked as an architectual engineer for the Smithsonian Institution Museum for over 30 years.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years Pam Ferris of the home; a daughter Laura Jarrait of Charleston, SC; and brother Frank Ferris of Pawtucket, RI.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Tony Ferris, and a sister Nancy Ferris.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Bogue Banks Baptist Church 1417 W. Fort Macon Rd. Atlantic Beach, NC 28512.
