Marilyn Lee Gould, 69, of New Bern, died Friday, August 9, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Tuesday at Glad Tidings Church with Rev. Tim Mariner officiating. Interment will be 1:00 Tuesday at National Cemetery in New Bern.
She is survived by daughter Michelle Gould Byrum and husband Ian of Newport; son Robert Gould Jr. and wife Melissa of New Bern; eight grandchildren Marleigh Paige Byrum, Brittain Newanna Byrum, Taelor James Lockhart Byrum, Kalobe Dean Byrum, Joshua Ray Parker, Isaiah Keith Parker, Caitlyn Marie Gould, and Robert Noah Gould; a sister Charlene Jenkins of Alabama; and two brothers Philip Ross of South Mills, NC, and Chuck Carraway of Alabama.
She is preceded in death by her husband Robert W. Gould, Sr., and mother Barbara Jean Vickory.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 Monday at Munden Funeral Home.
