Marilyn Foster Knight, 69, of Newport, died Thursday January 24, 2013 at Carolina East Medical Center.
A funeral will be held 2:00 Sunday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eric Daugherty officiating. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.
Marilyn was a member of Church of Christ at Cherry Point.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years Lindsay Knight of the home: two sons Lindsay Watson Knight of Newport, and Mark Allen Knight and wife Becky of New Bern: one grandson Steven W. Knight of Newport: one great granddaughter Gabrielle Ann Knight of Newport: a brother Gene Foster and wife Carolyn of Rossville, GA: and a sister Gay Foster Amburn and husband Floyd of Hickson, TN.
She was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Lera Mae Foster, a son Harold Alex Knight, a brother and a sister.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 Saturday at Munden Funeral Home.
