Marilyn Esther Eubanks

Marilyn Esther Eubanks, 90, of South River, passed away on Friday, May 7, 2021, at her home.

Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at Maranatha Pentecostal Holiness Church in Beaufort, officiated by Rev. Jacob Snyder. Interment will follow at Hardy Family Cemetery in South River.

Marilyn was born on October 10, 1930, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late George and Bessie Roberts. After settling on the crystal coast, she assisted numerous people over the years while she served as a caregiver at Harborview Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. Following that, she joined her husband in the boating business where she helped him for 25 years building boats and running the shrimp boats in the Pamlico Sound and the ocean. Travelling up and down the coast, while fishing with her husband, was one of her most enjoyable times. Her grandchildren were a joy to her heart, she loved being with them and watching them grow up and have families of their own. Over her 90 years, it was her relationship with the Lord that was the anchor of her life and she was a faithful member of Maranatha Pentecostal Holiness Church.

She is survived by her loving husband, Clyde Eubanks of the home; daughters, Diana Carol Eubanks, and Tammy Dewit, both of South River; Josie Lewis of Pennsylvania, and Donna Jones of Morehead City; sons, Charles Bihun and Ronald Earl Eubanks, both of Pennsylvania, and Clyde Randolph Griffin of Richlands; as well as multiple grand, great, and great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Ann Duke and Terry Shawn Johnson; and son, John David Bihun.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Monday, May 10, 2021, at Maranatha Pentecostal Holiness Church. The same safety guidelines will apply.
