Marie W. Johnson
November 25, 1931 — July 6, 2015
Marie W. Johnson, 83, of Morehead City, went to be with the Lord, Monday, July 6, 2015 at Carteret General Hospital surrounded by family.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Parkview Baptist Church with Rev. David Mills and Rev. Michael Fields officiating. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.
Marie was a member of Parkview Baptist Church, and a loving wife and mother.
She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Wells and husband Robert of Powells Point, NC; three sons, Paul Curtis Johnson Jr. and wife Linda, Jimmy Johnson and wife Wilma, and David Johnson and wife Pat, all of Newport; eight grandchildren, Joel Johnson, Ritchie Horne, Brandon Horne, J.R. Johnson, Amanda Hassell, Jared Wells, Lauren Wells, and Sarah Wells; also nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
A special thanks to the Certified Nursing Assistants of in Touch Home Care, Amy Parish, Mary Rancer, and Sandra Sheltz.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul C. Johnson Sr.of 67 years, and her parents, Adlphus and Lilly Waddell.
Vistiation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
