Marie Ambrose Duffy, 66, of Newport, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at her home.
There will be a memorial mass Friday, October 13, 2017 at 11 a.m. at St. Egberts Catholic Church, officiated by Father Tom Davis.
Marie was originally from Huntington, New York and moved to Carteret County in 1991. She retired from Walmart after 18 years of loyal service. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother that will be missed.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Danny Duffy, Sr.; daughters Wendy Ann Duffy Verme and husband, Nick of Huntington, NY, Kristina Duffy Davis and husband, Gus of Newport, NC; son, Danny Duffy, Jr. of Newport; sister, Fran Ambrose of Morehead City; brother, Joe Ambrose of Oldsmar, FL; grandchildren, Samantha Verme, Kaitlyn Wheeler, Nicholas Verme, Dominick Verme, Tyler Davis, Cooper Davis and Remington Duffy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Marion Ambrose.
