Marianne (Sheller) Birkhead

Marianne Sheller Birkhead, 83, of Newport NC, formerly of Mequon, WI, passed away on March 9, 2015 with her loved ones by her side.

She was born on August 21, 1931 at Women's Hospital Phila.,PA She joins her parents, Henry and Anne Sheller, her loving husband of 52 years Henry Clay Birkhead and beloved daughter Jill Birkhead Schieble, also, brother Richard Sheller, sister Sally MacFarland and sister Deborah Allan.

Marianne is survived by her loving daughter Sally Birkhead Whitchurch (Kelly), brother Glenn Sheller, sister Constance Sheller Myers (Joe), sister Frances Sheller Wasserman and brother in laws Bill Birkhead (Marion) and Bud MacFarland, sister in law Maridy Birkhead and son in law Dan Schieble. She was a loving and proud grandmother to Allie, Whitney and Jordan Schieble and Robert and Alicia Whitchurch, and great grandmother (GG) to Abbi whom she so adored. As well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Marianne graduated from Lower Merion High School in Ardmore, PA in 1949. In her younger years she was involved in the community and several charitable organizations and was an avid bowler. She retired from Prudential Insurance. She will be missed by all who knew her and will live in our hearts forever.

A celebration of Marianne’s life will be held in NC at a later date.
