Marguerite (Peetz) Macfadden
January 12, 1928 — January 3, 2015
Marguerite "Peg" Peetz Macfadden completed her last voyage and went to Heaven on Saturday, January 3rd, 2015, at Snug Harbor in Sea Level, NC.
No services are planned at this time. However there will be a future celebration of her life at Bon Air Christian Church in Bon Air,Virginia.
Peg was born on January 12, 1928 to Robert and Marguerite Peetz in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. She married the love of her life, Brewster "Bruce" Macfadden on February 11th, 1949 in Forest Hills, NY. During her life she spent 55 years working in various capacities for the American Red Cross. Peg received the Clara Barton Award from the Red Cross which is the highest honor they bestow on a volunteer. In addition she was very active in her church, Bon Air Christian Church, serving in many ways including being an Elder in the Church.
Peg is survived by her husband of 65 years, Bruce, son, Glenn Macfadden and wife June, daughter, Gail Macfadden, grandsons, Kevin Macfadden, Dr. Charles Wells, Durwood Willis, Matthew Willis and wife Marni, nephew, Peter St. Phillip and wife Paige, neices, Sandra Wagner and husband John, Joan Wiegers, Wendy Greier, Karen Fawcette , and Deborah Van Deusen.
No flowers please. Donations can be made to a persons charity of choice or the American Red Cross.
