Margaret "Margie" Louise (Streeter) Willis

February 1, 1931 — October 24, 2013

Margaret "Margie" Louise Willis, 82, of Williston, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2013, at Carolina East Medical Center in New Bern.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Monday at Williston United Methodist Church with Rev. Paul Harris and Rev. Doug Stewart officiating.

She graduated in 1949 from Oscoda High School in Michigan where she was the Salutatorian of her class.  She moved to Williston shortly after her marriage to Hilton Willis whom she met while he was stationed at the Oscoda Air Force Base.  She was also a member of Williston United Methodist Church and was active in the United Methodist Women, taught Sunday School and served in the nursery.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Hilton Willis of the home; daughter, Cathi Willis; son, Paul Willis and wife Jeanette; daughter-in-law, Robin Willis; five grandchildren who knew her as "Suggie" and "Granny", Travis Willis, Scott Lutz, Jr, Holly Rose, Heather Lewis and Risa Bohling; five great-grandchildren, Kurtis Scott Lutz, III, Dylan Rose, Alexis Bohling, Jacob Bohling and Joselyn Richardson; two sisters, Ester Bareham and husband Virgil and Fern Young; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Eleanor Streeter; a son, David Bruce Willis; brothers, Stanley J. Streeter, Jr, Marvin Eugene Streeter and Robert James Streeter.

The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Sunday at the Church.
