Margaret White

Margaret Croft White, 74, of Newport, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2017, at Carteret Health Care.

A celebration of life visitation will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 28, 2017, at Munden Funeral Home. A reception will follow the visitation.

Margaret attended and was a devoted member of St. James United Methodist Church. She also was the president of the Carteret Women’s Club for 3 years, and spent many hours volunteering at Hope Mission. Her favorite hobby was playing Canasta with her lady friends. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of the home, Bob Carroll White; daughter, Theresa Anne Best and husband Phil of Sims, NC; son, Keith Bryan White and wife Laura of Carolina Beach, NC; brothers, Col. William James Croft of Baton Rouge, LA, sister, Betty Jane Squires of Conway, SC; brother, Robert Leslie Robinson of Bogalusa, LA; grandchildren, Anthony Ryan Casebolt, Ashley Renee Pearson, and Troy Allen White; great-grandchildren, Layla Morgan Pearson, Johnny Douglas Pearson, and Olivia Marie Casebolt.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Jannita Robison.
