Margaret Ruth (Vance) Powers

Margaret Ruth Powers, 61, of Newport, died Monday December 24, 2012 at Carteret General Hospital.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 Saturday at Broad Creek Church of God with Rev. Wesley Holmes officiating. Interment will follow at Amariah Garner Cemetery.
Mrs. Margaret helped start and run the Hope Mission here in Carteret County. She was a member of Broad Creek Church of God.
She is survived by her husband Albert Powers of the home: a son Robbie Ball and wife Nicole of Newport: five grandchildren: two step grandchildren: a stepdaughter Frances Edmondson of Wilson: and three brothers Steve Vance of Virginia, Jerry Vance of Virginia, and Jimmy Vance of Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Clyde Ball, and mother and father Virginia and Carl Vance.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
