Margaret Gray

Margaret Rowe Gray, age 89, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Saturday night, June 26, 2010. Her first priority in life was to be a witness for her Lord and the second was to serve her family and others without any recognition on her part. She was a giver to others, but it was hard for her to allow others to do for her. After the death of her husband Leo, she lived with her daughter, Joan, for 14 years prior to going to Crystal Bluffs for her final 18 months.
Mrs. Gray was born April 25, 1921 in Newport, NC to the late William Levi and Martha Guthrie Rowe. She was preceded in death by her husband Leo T. Gray; one brother Billy Rowe.
She is survived by one daughter; Joan Mills of Newport, NC, one son; Eric Gray and wife Vivian of Leland, NC, two sisters; Mary Mears of Apex, NC and Dorothy Wooten of Greenfield, IN, one brother; James ?Bud? Rowe of Taylor Lake, TX, four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at 11:00am at Holly Springs Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will follow in The Amariah Garner Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 7-9pm at Munden Funeral Home.
