Margaret Lane (Guthrie) Garner

Margaret Lane Garner, 77, of Harkers Island, died Wednesday September 5, 2012, at Carteret General Hospital.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Saturday at Harkers Island Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Anthony Nelson and Rev. Manley Rose officiating. Interment will follow at Vergie Mae Cemetery.
Margaret was a loving and caring mother, a virtous woman, and she loved playing the organ. She was a member of Harkers Island Pentecostal Holiness Church.
She is survived by seven children Crystal Gillikin, Emma Lewis, Rhonda Moore, Ernest Garner, Jr., Tanjalena Garner, Vanessa Willis, and Margaret Pierce: twelve grandchildren Lee Turner, Frankie Lewis, Jr., Andrea Lewis, Patrick Lewis, Brandon Davis, Kathy Higgs, Veronica Conway, Amanda Garner, Nakisha Garner, Audreanna Becton, Angelena Willis, and J.D. Pierce, Jr.,: sixteen great grandchildren: brothers Craig Guthrie, Greg Guthrie, Dennis Guthrie, and Alonza Guthrie: sisters Merita Guthrie, and Nettie Guthrie.
She was preceded in death by parents Leslie and Kathleen Guthrie, dauther Kathy Turner, son Roderick Moore, Jr., five grandchildren David Willis, Cassidy Garner, Maklyn Garner, Robert Gillikin, and Richard Gillikin, one brother Marion Guthrie, and one sister Darnell Guthrie.
Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 pm Friday at Harkers Island Pentecostal Holiness Church.
