Manuel “Manny” Rapolla Cruz, 79, of Havelock,  passed away Saturday, May 18­, 2019, at his home.

A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at Annunciation Catholic Church, officiated by Father Bill Upah. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park Newport.

Nightly Rosaries being said at his residence, 237 Devonshire Drive, Havelock, NC beginning Saturday, May 18th, 2019 at 7 p.m. followed by a light dinner and will continue until the day of his burial on Tuesday, May 28, 2019.  Viewing will be from 9 a.m. till 11 a.m. on Tuesday.

Manny was born and raised in Guam. During his years there, he worked as a crane operator for the Ship Repair Facility (SRF), U.S. Naval Station, Guam until his retirement in 1994.

He is survived by his wife, Antonia  “Bing”  Perez Cruz of Santa Rita; daughters, Rosette Cruz and husband Davin Singleton of Havelock, Corina Cruz  Lujan of Guam,Liza and husband Chris Hoomana of Havelock; sons, Michael A. P. Cruz and wife Surina of Havelock, Vincent P. Cruz and wife Joleen of Havelock, Joaquin P. Cruz and wife Benett of Maryland, Paul P. Cruz and wife Alma of Iwakuni, Japan, Christopher P. Santos and wife Leilani of Havelock; grandchildren, Angelina Cruz, Aiden Hilde, Ariana Singleton, Davin Singleton Jr., Camaryn Singleton, Nathan Cruz, Miranda Cruz, Lance Lujan, Gregorio Lujan, Mikayla Lujan, Maika Lujan, Father - Salvador Lujan, Keishani Cruz  Cuellar and her husband Eric,  Antonio Cruz, Tristin Cruz, Aiden Cruz, Alara Cruz, Christian Hoomana, Alexander Hoomana, Jayden Santos, Tanner Santos; and great-grandchild, Damien Cuellar;  sister, Theodora Cruz Chargualaf of Guam; brothers, Ben Cruz and wife Dorothy of Martinez, CA,Enrique Cruz and wife Kathy of Alabama; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Consuelo Cruz, Peter M. Perez,  Mary P. and Jose D. Pablo. He is also survived by close aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews of which were like his own children.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joaquin Terlaje Cruz and Maria Rapolla Cruz; and brothers, Juan Cruz, Jose Cruz, Antonio Cruz and Lorenzo Cruz.
